The decision at the heart of it
A two-card chain reduces your hand quickly, but changes everyone’s next routes. Retuning opens new connections at the cost of another card.
Five beacons share two moving lights. Your cards decide where the next player can go.
Play a connection card from a lit beacon to an empty one. You may follow it with a second card to move that same light again, provided the route remains legal. A two-card chain sheds your hand faster, but changes the connections available around the table.
You can also Retune: rotate both lights clockwise and draw a card. It costs hand size, yet may open a route that your current cards need. The choice remains available even when you could play.
Empty your hand to trigger a final round with equal turns, or finish the twelve-round limit holding the fewest cards. Read both lights, plan a chain, and think about the position you leave behind.
How a game unfolds
- Play a connection from a lit beacon to an unlit one.
- Optionally add a second legal connection that moves the same light again.
- Or Retune both lights and draw; aim to finish with the fewest cards after equal turns.
