The decision at the heart of it
Use a strong card to drive farther or refill more fuel. Your next route, the wind and the final overshoot can change which use is best.
The short route is not always the route you can afford.
Race through four sectors with a small hand of pace cards. At a sector gate, select a route: a fuel-hungry shortcut, a steady traverse, or a longer cache path that supplies fuel on entry. The map shows each choice before you commit.
Use a pace card to Drive for distance at a fuel cost, or Refill to gain fuel while still moving one step. Current and upcoming winds reward the right route at the right time. Everyone submits a private plan before the round resolves together.
Movement stops at the next checkpoint, making excess pace useful only when it decides the final finish. Balance route length, entry costs, wind and the fuel you will need beyond the next gate.
How a game unfolds
- At each sector gate, choose a route with its own length and fuel effects.
- Commit a pace card as Drive or Refill, using the visible wind to plan your movement.
- Finish all four sectors; racers finishing together compare overshoot, then remaining fuel.
