The decision at the heart of it
A tall flower can score from one window while hiding the species another window needs. Plan rows and columns together.
One flower can improve the view from a row and spoil the view from a column.
Build a four-by-four garden over sixteen placements. Each round offers two flowers: choose one and plant it in an empty square. Flowers have a species and height, while eight windows ask to see particular species from the left or bottom edge.
A flower is visible only when it rises above everything before it along that window's view. Even the wrong species can block a flower behind it. Arrange height and color together, aiming for matching flowers and the bonus for giving a window two matches.
Play a solo garden, or compare gardens using the same flower offers and window requests. Other gardeners build their own boards; each planting decision belongs to you.
How a game unfolds
- Read the species requested by the four row windows and four column windows.
- Choose one of each round’s two flowers and plant it in an empty square.
- Make matching flowers visible above earlier plants, with a bonus for two matches at a window.
